Corrugated Plastic Packaging Method

The packaging industry has also put its hat on the innovation circle, and with great success. For example, a relatively recent innovation, corrugated plastic, a durable material designed to replace conventional paper or cardboard, corrugated products that once dominated the packaging industry.

Corrugated plastic is formed when two plastic liners are fused on either side of a corrugated plastic sheet known as corrugated. Together these three layers create a weather- and chemical-resistant material whose properties offer a superior alternative to traditional packaging methods. Manufacturers carry out various packaging test methods, so that the products inside remain safe and free from any kind of contamination or leakage. For manufacturers, the benefits of corrugated plastic are many:

1. Corrugated plastic will last 20-40 times longer than corrugated cardboard and can be used over and over again, so manufacturers have to replace fewer boxes, resulting in significant cost savings both in sourcing boxes new as in the elimination of old.

2. Corrugated plastic is stronger than cardboard. Product test results have shown it to have twenty times the tensile and tear strength of paper, ensuring manufacturers that their product is better protected and more likely to reach its destination unscathed.

3. Corrugated plastic can be fused together in a process called sonic welding; resulting in unique sizes, shapes and designs. This process can be used to produce tailor-made products that meet the specifications of an individual manufacturer.

4. Corrugated plastic is inert to almost all acids, chemicals, detergents, fats and oils, it is UV resistant and can withstand extreme temperatures from -17 degrees Fahrenheit to 230 degrees Fahrenheit, making it the best product packaging for many industries.
