Home air purification systems come in four types:

Media Filter – The type of air purification system is the most common of all. The method of purification is through forcing air through a filter which usually consists of paper, cotton, or other fibers. This is the simplest but it is not the most efficient.

Electronic Filter – Types of purification systems are also called ionizers. They use a charged electric surface charge on the ion. The ions then attract the floating particles, and stick to it and brought it down with it. Effective against floating particles, dust, feathers, mold, and mildew.

Humidification – The use of humidity kills some bacteria and viruses. Viruses and bacteria are not resistant to high – humidity.

UV Filtration – UV stands for ultraviolet. It is also referred to as the UVGI system that stands for ultraviolet irradiation germs. It effectively destroys microorganisms and it eliminates mold, mildew, dust, feathers, viruses, bacteria, and other particles as small as 0.03 microns small. This is the most effective system in air purification.
